The Greenvale Educational Foundation Trust School is inspired, initiated and being lovingly nurtured by its Founder Member and Member Trustees. The members are its life and soul, motivation and goal. Under the direct guidance and loving care the school embarked on its mission of moulding young minds from 1998.
"Character Development with Academic Excellence", has been the governing principle of all endeavors in the school. The school at every step, big or small, is guided by the comprehensive educational philosophy of Charity which emphatically advocates "Education should be for life and not for a living".
The Greenvale Educational Foundation Trust is nestled in the deserted hilly areas of the South Sikkim in Sikkim, India. The Greenvale Educational Foundation Trust is an oasis which unfolds its treasure to a fabulous world of knowledge.
The Greenvale Educational Foundation Trust has all the infrastructure and facilities that makes a full fledged Public Secondary School and these are being maintained and updated on regular basis. We have small play section, a vibrant music section and art and craft centre for multifarious creativity. Unparalleled sports facilities- the mid terms trips, treks, mountaineering to develop love for outdoor life etc. Academic growth of Students is our mantra and guiding principle. The list is endless. We do also provide Boarding Facilities. And all these are at very meager fees, just to meet our expenses.
It is important to prepare the children before sending them to a Boarding School. The child should be convinced about the usefulness of Boarding School Life. In our opinion a residential school has many advantages. It inculcates in children an attitude of 'Caring and Sharing' and a sense of independent living, decision making and value for money. It teaches the child the art of self learning and self preparation for the examinations. The child learns to live a Spartan life which makes him tough enabling him to progress without being a slave to materialistic comforts. Living together with other children creates a feeling of brotherhood and helps to develop leadership qualities. The hectic schedule involving both academics and co-curricular activities keeps him pre occupied in a constructive manner. In fact at times, it is felt that there is so much to do, with no time at all. Thus it teaches him Time Management early in life.
The Greenvale Educational Foundation Trust is committed to producing gentlemen who can be of service and value to society and shape as leaders of our great nation and who can be the true epitome of our motto Shradha, Gyan and Karam.

The school offers students and parents a unique educational experience which, in many ways, is different from schools elsewhere. The salient and distinguishing features which make the school exclusive and exceptional are the following:
- - A major focus of the school is character development, in addition to academic excellence. Inculcating the virtues of adherence to truth and discipline, dedication to duty and devotion to the Supreme is as important as academic excellence.
- - The School believes in national integration as is amply portrayed in its emblem and follows an open-admission policy purely on the basis of merit. They fully participate in all the festivals celebrated and cultural programmes conducted at the school. This serves to give them a feel of the hallowed ideals of 'Unity-Purity-Divinity', which is the quintessence of Indian culture.
- - The School has a highly competent and dedicated team of teachers drawn from different parts of the State who are committed to be exemplars of values. The tutors live with the children in the hostel to give personal attention to every student much like the ancient Gurukula system and ensure an atmosphere of love and care.
- - The School integrates value education and teaching in all its programmes. It is the relentless pursuit at the school to instill in every student, the universal and timeless doctrine of 'Fatherhood of God and Brotherhood of Man'. There are also special Human Value classes held to provide students a deeper insight into religion and philosophy.
- - The School has a nurturing climate based on the twin foundations of love and discipline. It is suffused with prayers, stories and parables drawn from different faiths of the world.
- - The education at the school is completely free of charge to the under privileged children belonging to the weaker section of the society.
A mission statement describes why an organization exists what they do, with and for whom they do it. Greenvale Educational Foundation Trust School is pleased to share our updated mission statement, vision for our students and new strategic plan, Vision 2025.
We surveyed staff, students, families, alumni, area, tribal areas and even benefactors to get an idea of their hopes and dreams for the children we serve at Greenvale Educational Foundation Trust School. From this feedback, we improved and condensed our mission statement to the following:
- - Greenvale Educational Foundation Trust School, an apostolate of the Trust, partners with Trustee Members to educate for life mind, body, heart and spirit.
- - "What appeals to me is considering the needs of the whole child mind, body, heart and spirit," said Founder Director. "Since the students live here, our staff focuses on helping young people become well-rounded in many areas of life, from academics and healthcare to social skills and spirituality. Just as we expect these things from our students, it also calls staff to set a good example and work on their own well-being too."
- - The strategic planning process led to lengthy discussions about the vision shared by each department on campus.
The resulting vision statement became:
Our mission and vision are rounded out by a series of core values that describe how we operate:
- • Faith
- • Integrity
- • Stewardship
- • Respect
- • Collaboration
- • Excellence
Greenvale Educational Foundation Trust School continually strives to make progress in each of these core values.
